Michelle Maynor

I am a high school senior at Century High School. I've been in Band since the 6th grade and have enjoyed my time over the course of 6 years. I went to CHOMP as a kid and always wanted to do this as my senior project because I think its an amazing program that I wanted to help run and be successful not only for me but for the students. I am planning on going to go to college and get my music education degree to become a band director for middle/ high school students.

Kate Whitney

My name is Kate and I've been in band for seven years. I've played clarinet for the same amount of time and enjoy learning about and teaching music. Next year I will be studying music education at a four year university and pursuing my dream of becoming a music teacher at the elementary and/or high school level. I chose CHOMP to be my senior project because of what the program means to me. I attended CHOMP as a young musician from 6th grade through 8th grade. I wanted to experience CHOMP from a different point of view; not just as a student or a high school volunteer but as a person who helps make the program run. I've learned a lot from CHOMP and i will always be thankful to the program that helped me realize my dream.
